8th & Ocean..

Last night, instead of posting pictures about the Oscars'fashions, I decided to watch the new show from the producers of Laguna Beach called 8th and Ocean. The show basically follows the lives of models living and working in South Beach Miami. Since I am so addicted to Laguna Beach, I thought this show would hold my attention in between season, but I stand corrected. I must say that I was not amused by the commercials leading up to the premiere and I also must say thatI am still not amused. The show did not even attempt to hold my attention. It was so boring that I kept flipping between it and censored reruns of "Sex and the City" on TBS. I will try and watch the repeats this weekend to give it another chance, but my opinion as of right now is a hands, not thumb, but a hands down. Better luck next time, MTV.

Picture post coming soon!

I know that I have not posted a post with a picture, but since the Oscars were last night I will hopefully change that by this evening. Right now I am juggling an assignment for work and commenting about a certain performance from last night on a couple of the blogs that you can find in my sidebar.

I will say this about the fashions from last night, none stood out to me. It was either because they were all boring or I was focusing my attention to this current infamous performance.

Approach with caution: Non fashion post ahead

I am sorry that this post has nothing to do with a fashion, but I need to rant right now and everyone is at work and can't talk. Today was a such a frustrating day. I stayed home today because I had a phone interview with Servicemaster for a position as a Marketing Manager for the Merry Maids department. A friend of my mom told her that Servicemaster has long and intense interviews.I thought that this would be different because it was over the phone and long distance. Boy was I wrong. The interview lasted for almost 40 minutes and although the lady who was conducting the interview was very nice and friendly, the questions she asked were borderline essay style questions.Boy am I glad that is over.Unfortunately,I do not think I am going to get a callback, plus the job is a little too far out for me to get to and from. About 90 minutes after the Servicemater interview, I was surprised with another phone interview from a realty company for another marketing position. That interview was a little less intense and I was happy about that, but the downside is that you can never read if they are interested in you or not.I guess I have to wait a week before I find out anything.

Well, since I believe that was the last interview/job reference for the day I need to help myself to recover from them. I am going to do my favorite thing: window shop via the World Wide Web.

Stay Stylish!

P.S My favorite designer is on Oprah right now, the one and only Marc Jacobs.I love him and lines so much. Anyone who can make me love LV more than I did before because of a simple bag is a genius.I am so jealous of Oprah because she has LV Marc Jacobs bag that I want and would possible kill for. My life sux right now.
I think every aspiring fashionista needs certain items in there closets, but right now I am going to give my list of the handbags that should be staple in your closet.

1.) Louis Vuitton- the classic monogram, because it never ages. This needs to be your first LV purchase and choose a classic style such as the tote or the Speedy, which happens to be my favorite.

2.) The next thing is a classic Chanel handbag, in a basic color such as black, white, or red. Chanel is classy and always shows that you have something elegant about you.

3. The last and final handbag that every aspiring fashionista needs in her closet is simple, yet classic, sophisticated designer tote. When I say designer, this can mean LV, Dior, Prada, Gucci, or Donna Karen. Nothing to trendy, becasue this can be used on weekends when you have numerous errands to run or have to carry a super load of paperwork from the office.

I am sure that I am missing something, but if I think of something else I will definitely edit this post.

Next post I will give the overall neccessary accesories that help people determine what type of person that you are by just looking at you. Remember, class before trash!

Platinum fashion philosophy #1

I have decided that occasionally i will post a fashion philosophy that I live by and personally feel that others who care about what they drape on their bodes should follow, so here goes number #1:

Trends are like fruits, they are only good to look at and smell while still fresh and once they are over due they start getting ugly looks from people and attract fashion flies who hover around you and tell you that you should throw them out. Although, if you are thrifty and a secret pack rack like myself and just can't imagine throwing perfectly good clothing away do what you would do to fruit: Package it appropriatly and freeze for when it comes back in fashion.

Well you were just a part of semi-history, but keep checking back and for more. I have another one that I might post today or save for tommorrow.

On to other news or in this case, other part of my mind. I have read on a few blogs and mmessage baords about how people arent't to keen on Kimora Lee Simmons. All I have to say to that is....

I LOVE KIMORA!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that she represents what all women should aspire to be, glamorous, trendy, intelligent, and business-oriented. I love her life and how she shows no remorse for the extravagence she surrounds herself. At first, I thought the idea of her book was a joke at first, but I am definitely going to purchase that book and continue populating my closet with products from the Baby Phat empire.

See Ya!

I am so late!

i am so so stupid to have passed up "Project Runway". I kept hearing and reading people talking about it and I decided to pass on it. What a dumb move on my part. For the past month I have become such a fan. I can seriously watch Santino mock Tim Gunn all day if they let me. I could really care who wins at this point, although I would love for Chloe to win because she mostly resembles my style. I just had to tell you all one of my stupid decisions that I am regreting now. Well, back to my watching my new reality/fashion/ obsession.

Busy Bee..

I have been so busy, either being sick as a dying dog waiting for its owner to take it to a field and leave it or I have been focusing on finishing my website and looking for a new job.

I am still getting over the cold but all i really have left is a little mucus left in my chest. I know, that sounds horrible and so unfab, so I will move along.

The next thing is trying to figure what the hell I am going to do for my website. I recently came up with a nice clean idea and I plan to stick to it. I love simple, classy, beautiful, and neat things and that is what my site will look like. Nothing too flashy and cluttered. I got idea while I was watching a rerun of "Will & Grace" on lifetime.

Onto the wonderful world of fashion. I am starting to sorta like the House of Dereon clothing line. Although, it still looks like it is overpriced, I am excited about the footwear line. The ads are even getting better.

Well, I am about to head to bed and dream of a world where I can afford to keep my closet full of all the things I desire.

Long time no hear huh!

I can't believe that it has been way over a month sinced my last post and so much has happened in the entertainment world that I am not even going to attempt to cover everything. I wil give a reason why I haven't posted in awhile. After three years of yearning for one, I finally bought myself a website so I have been trying to figure out the hell to make it. I belive that I am almost there. I have posted a few "coming soon" pages but nothing major. Right now it's a couple of my graphic samples that I posted for employers to look at. Currently, I am getting over a really nasty cold, but once it has run it's course I will finish it up. I will post when it is up and running.
